bits and pieces
I always get frustrated at the lack of respect Cardinals get. Not that is surprises me. I watched most of the Pro-bowl to see Larry Fitzgerald. He has the longest catch of the Pro-bowl, the most amazing one at that (he jumped over 3 defenders) and he is never thrown to again. Jake D kept throwing to over-rated Santana Moss, who kept dropping the ball. Moss then catches one, and he fumbles. It was frustrating. Rackers did good as usual.
The skuttle over Kurt going to Detroit has not died down. I really think Kurt is using it as barganing power. It appears more and more that he will not be re-signed until after March 3 to weigh other offers. Kurt reportedly wants $7M up front. A little high for a QB who will only play 8 games next year. They should give him and incentive contract based on starts. I think the Cardinals may get left out in the cold, because I think Josh McCown will sign on March 3rd or 4th elsewhere, and they will not be able to go back to him. It is critical for us to make the playoffs next year that we have Kurt of Josh.
The Cards re-sign Robert Tate - probably won't make the team, but I like the guy. We need to find another mid-level veteran CB out there - and safety.
Is Ernest Shazor ready to play ft next year?
Our Laads has the Cardinals drafting a safety from Texas in the first round - yikes, I hope this doesn't happen. I want Lendale White, or a linebacker like AJ Hawk or a stud DL.
A few more days until my season ticket appointment.

Kurt signed a 3 year deal today. I think this was a good move. I'd like to see Josh stick around as well, but that probably isn't going to happen. Plus, I think the next "must haves" are going after a better o-line.. and going after Edgerrin James.
