Kurt Warner Signed

Well, I was wrong on my last post about when we would sign Kurt. It didn't take me long to turn negative about the Cardinals - I hate when I do that - I get positive and people are laughing.

Reportedly Kurt signed a 3 year deal worth 18 Million, with another 6 million possible with incentives. Cardinals bent a little, but if he is able to complete a season, and complete 65% of his passes like he did last year (officially 64.5% a new team record) then the money is well spent. I think the biggest worry is him completing a whole season - hence the incentives. I will put another poll up later on how many games he will last. Last year, 35% of the readers were correct in the first five games.
Check out these impressive numbers from Fox Sports:
"His 73 appearances in eight NFL seasons, Warner has passed for 19,214 yards and 119 touchdowns. career completion percentage of 65.7 (1,537-for-2,340) is the highest ever in the NFL, and his lifetime quarterback rating of 94.1 is second to Hall of Famer Steve Young (96.8) among quarterbacks who have thrown at least 1,500 passes."
The highest completion percentage in the NFL ever!

I agree with Rick Billou (spelling?) on the Sprting News Radio - Cardinals will be very scary if we go out and sign a stud Runningback like Shaun Alexander or Edgerrin James.

I am shooting for a 11 win season.

Comments:
Warner, Fitz, Boldin, and Edgerrin James..

Your next poll should be Who will the Cards go after and sign in Free Agency?

I sure like the sound of the previous comment - Warner, Fitz, Boldin, Edgerrin James. Wow - let's go!
